RESOLUTION NO. 7999
:HEREAS, TILLIE BELL PASS and COTTAGES INC . , a Florida
corporation, the owners of the land hereinafter described, have
offered to sell said landto the City of Miami Beach for the sum
of Seventy-five Thousand („;75,000.00) Dollars and ,
HEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best
interest of the City to purchase said land at said price for
Public Park purposes, the said land being situate in Miami Beach,
Florida and described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the northern boundary of
Section 10, Township 54 South, Range 42 East,
where said boundary is intersected by the Easterly
boundary of Jefferson Avenue produced Southerly
across Biscayne Street as a point or place of begin-
ning; thence Southerly continuing the Easterly
boundary of Jefferson Avenue produced for a distance
of 132.0' to a point; thence Westerly 208.1' more or
less along a line parallel to and 132 .0' Southerly
from the Northern line of said Section 10 to Biscayne Bay;
thence Northwesterly meandering the Bay to the inter-
section with the Northern line of Section 10; thence
Easterly along the Northern line of Section 10, 285.0'
more or less to the point or place of beginning; (the
Northern boundary of said Section 10 being common with
the Southern boundary of Biscayne Street) .
TOGETHER with all common law and statutory riparian
rights pertaining thereto; ALSO DESCRIBED AS: All of
that part of the North 132.0' of Section 10, Township
5'4- South, Range 42 East, known as Tract "A" or the
Smith Company Bay Front Tract, more particularly
described as follows, to-wit: Bounded on the North
by the Northern line of said Section 10; bounded on
the east by the East line of Jefferson Avenue produced;
bounded on the South by a line parallel to and distant
132.0' South of the Northern line of said Section 10,
and; bounded on the .Jest by Biscayne Bay; TOGETHER with
all common law and statutory riparian rights pertaining
thereto.
A JD, 1HEtiEAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agree-
ment between the parties covering the terms and conditions of
said sale with the terms and conditions of which said agreement
the City Council is familiar.
NO.J, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to close the transaction
contemplated by said agreement in accordance with the terms
thereof; and the Disbursement Officers of the City be and they
are hereby authorized to expend such monies as are called for
by the terms of said agreement out of funds of the City avail-
able for such purposes.
