Resolution 8022 RESOLUTION NO. 8022
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of May, 1951, it was duly resolved
by Resolution No. 7525 that there be created a sidewalk improvement
district to be known as SK-145, and which resolution provided for
the construction of the following improvement :
"A five (5) foot concrete sidewalk on both sides of
Harding Avenue from 67th Street to 71st Street. "
AND, WHEREAS, on the 18th day of May, 1949, it had theretofore
been resolved by Resolution No. 6921 that there be created a side-
walk improvement district to be known as SK-132, and which provided
for the construction of the following improvement :
"A five (5) foot concrete sidewalk on the west side of
Harding Avenue from a point at or near the southerly line
of 71st Street to a point at or near the southerly lot
line of Lot 8, Block "F", Corrected Plat of Atlantic
Heights. "
AND WHEREAS, the improvement ordered by Resolution No. 6921
had been completed prior to the promulgation of Resolution No. 7525
and that therefore Resolution No. 7525 should not have included the
improvement ordered by Resolution No. 6921,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That Resolution No. 7525 be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
SK-145 SK-145
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
SK-145 A five (5) foot concrete sidewalk on the east side of
Harding Avenue from Seventy-first (71st) Street to a
point at or near Three Hundred Forty-one (341) feet
South of Sixty-ninth (69th) Street.
As said Avenue and Streets are shown on Plats recorded
in Plat Book 28, page 28, Plat Book 9, page 14, and
Plat Book 21, page 54, of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida, and as said HardingAvenue, Seventy-first
(71st) Street and Sixty-ninth (69th) Street are named and
designated in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an
estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of
the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and
superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications
and estimates, the printing and publication of notices and proceedings,
the preparation of bonds, interest during construction, legal services,
abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses necessary and proper in
conducting the proceedings and work herein provided for; and the
estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting
property.

The property against which assessments are to be made for the
cost of such improvement is hereby designated as District SK-1145,
and is described as follows:
All the lots or parcels of land abutting on the Easterly side of
Harding Avenue and lying between Seventy-first (71st) Street and
a point at or near Three Hundred Forty-one (3241) feet south of
Sixty-ninth (69th) Street.
This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Sidewalk Improvement SK-145, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District SK-1' 5. "
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of May, A.D. 1952.
