SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018-097-KB, for
Citywide Geotechnical and Laboratory Testing Services on an As-Needed Basis
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018-097-KB, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified
firm(s) for Citywide geotechnical and laboratory testing services on an as-needed basis.
The City will receive proposals pursuant to this RFQ on Monday, July 30, 2018. The responsive
proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established
in the RFQ.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Pilar Gaurin, Capital Project Coordinator, Capital Improvement Projects Office, City of Miami
Beach
• Eugene Egemba, Engineer, Public Works, City of Miami Beach
• Pedro Fuentes, Engineer, Public Works, City of Miami Beach
• Jose Perez, Capital Project Coordinator, Capital Improvement Projects Office, City of Miami
Beach
• Jorge Rodriguez, Capital Project Coordinator, Capital Improvement Projects Office, City of
Miami Beach
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:

• Jose Rivas, Engineer, Public Works, City of Miami Beach
