WHITTEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-115 Both sides of Twenty-seventh (27th) Street,
Twenty-eighth (28th) Street, Twenty-ninth
(29th) Street, Thirtieth (30th) Street and
Thirty-first (31st) Street from Collins Ave-
nue to Indian Creek Drive to be improved with
a whiteway lighting system of ornamental posts
and lamps with underground connections for
li;Thting.
As said Streets, Avenue and Drive are shown on
Plats recur ded in Plat Book Five (5) , Pages
Seven (7 ) and Eight (8 ) of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida, and as said Twenty-
seventh (27th) Street, Twenty-eighth (28th) ,
Street, Twenty-ninth (29th) Street, Thirtieth
(30th) Street and Thirty-first (31st) Street
are named and designated in Ordinance No.232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence of
the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates, the
printing and publication of notices and proceedin`-'s, the preparation of
bonds, interest during construction, legal services , abstracts, etc. , and
any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and
work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against
each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of such
improvement is hereby designated as District WW-115 and is described as
follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on
Twenty-seventh Street (27th) , Twenty-eighth (28th)
Street, Twenty-ninth (29th) Street, Thirtieth
( 30th) Street and Thirty-first (31st) Street, and
lying between Collins Avenue and Indian Creek
Drive .
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the
City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion
of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the
length of the street intersections bears to the total street frontage
within the district.
This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and
bonds as whiteway Improvement WSJ-115, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as District WW-115.
