Resolution 8190 RESOLUTION NO. 8190 Ii-fER AS, the Miami Beach Exhibition Company has re- quested the right and privilege to use the baseball playing field located within Flamingo Park in Miami Beach, Florida, as well as the stands, locker rooms, artificial illumination, parking area and fences used in connection therewith, during the months of December, 1952 , January, February, March and April, 1953 , for the purpose of presenting to the public soft- ball games between teams which are members of a girls' softball league; and iNEREAS, playing of baseball in the City of Miami 3each is deemed to be a public benefit affording amusement to the citizens and publicity to the City; and WHEREAS, the City owns and maintains a baseball playing field and stands surrounding same, said playing field being illuminated for night baseball playing; and WH REAS, there has been prepared an agreement between the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach Exhibition Company, the terms and conditions of which are familiar to the City Council; and JHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best interest of the City that said agreement be entered into; NO''I, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
