BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF i,.1A'I BEACH, FLORIDA :
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
-117. The West side of vdarri Beach Drive from Twenty-fourth
(24th) Street to Twenty-ninth (29th) Street.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of
ornamental posts and lamps at approximately one hundred
sixty (160 ) feet apart with underground connections
for lighting.
As said Drive and Streets are shown on a Plat recorded
in Plat Book Five (5) , Page Seven (7) of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida, end as said Twenty-fourth
(24th) Street and Twenty-ninth (29th) Street are named
and designated in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is ereby directed to prepare and to file with the City
Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate of the
cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of the
preliminary andother surveys, the inspection and superintendence of the
work, the -preparation of plans and specifications and estimates, the print-
ing and publication of notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds,
interest during construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any
other expenses necessary and Proper in conducting the nrcceedings and work
herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each
front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assesbrhents are to be made for the cost of such
improvement is hereby designated as District WW-117, and is described as
follows :
All of the lots or cartels of land abutting on the West
side of iiiami Beach Drive and lying between Twenty-fourth
(24th) Street and Twenty-Ninth (29th) Street.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property, the City
Engineer is .ereby directed to apportion to the City such portion of the
total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the length of
the street intersections bears to the total street frontage within the
district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and
bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-117, and the property against which assess-
ments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated as
District WW-117.
