Resolution 8208 RESOLUTION NO. 8208
JI-IEREAS, BERNARD CHAUNCEY and DOROTHY CHAUNCEY, his wife,
the owners of Lots 4 and 5 of Block 78 Ocean Beach Addition No. 3,
have consented to sell said land to the City of Miami Beach for
the sum of Sixty-Seven Thousand, Five hundred ( 67, 500.00) Dollars
in cash, -
AiJD 'JHE` IAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement
to be executed by the parties in the premises, with the terms of
thich said Agreement the City Council is famliar, and
}JIIEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best
interest of the City to purc::lase said land for said price for
public park purposes and addition to the City Police Station.
. 0'I, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Lgreement in the name of and on behalf of said Cite.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to close the transaction
contemplated by the terms of said agreement and the disbursing
officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and.
directed to disburse the monies required to be disbursed by the
terms of said Agreement, from funds of the City available for
such purpose.
