RESOLUTION NO . 8294
WHEREAS, Helen C . Burston and B . Elliot Burston, her husband,
have proposed to sell to the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for
the price and on the terms hereinafter set forth, the following
described lands, situate, lying and being in Miami Beach, Florida,
to-wit:
Lots Ten (10) and Eleven (11) of Block
Five (5) of ISLE OF NORMANDY, Oceanside
Section, as recorded in Plat Book 25,
at page 60, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida,
AND WHEREAS, said Helen C . Burston and husband have offered
to convey said lands to said City by good and sufficient warranty
deed for the sum of Twenty-two Thousand ($22,000 .00) Dollars, all
cash, free and clear of all encumbrances, except the following:
Restrictions, conditions and limitations of record;
zoning ordinances of the City of Miami Beach, Florida .
taxes for the year 1953 which are to be pro-rated as
of the date of closing the transaction involving said
sale and purchase, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
deems it to be to the best interest of said City to accept said
offer, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement between
the owners and the City providing for the said sale, the City Council
being familiar with the terms of said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement
in the name of and on behalf of said City .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the disbursing officers of the City
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make such dis-
bursements as are called for by said agreement out of funds of the
City available for such purpose .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 11th day of March, A. D . 1953 .
