Resolution 8417 RESOLUTION NO . 8417
WHEREAS, SAMUEL COHEN is the owner of the following des-
cribed land situate in the City of Miami Beach, Dade County,
Florida, as follows, to-wit :
That certain portion of Lot 62 of Block 7 of SECOND OCEAN
FRONT SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in
Plat Book 28, at page 28, of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, described and bounded as follows, to-wit :
Bounded on the westerly side by the easterly boundary of
the westerly fifteen (15) feet of said Lot 62;
Bounded on the easterly side by a straight line from a point on
the southerly line of said Lot 62, said point being 4 .3 feet, mea-
sured along said southerly line , easterly of the above described
westerly boundary, to the point of intersection of the above des-
cribed westerly boundary with the northerly line of said Lot 62;
Bounded on the southerly side by the southerly line of said
Lot 62;
AND ALSO
That certain portion of Lot 63 of Block 7 of SECOND OCEAN
FRONT SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in
Plat Book 28, at page 28, of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, described and bounded as follows :
Bounded on the westerly side by a line parallel to and
fifteen (15) feet, measured at right angles, easterly of the
westerly line of said Lot 63;
Bounded on the easterly side by a straight line from a
point on the southerly line of said Lot 63, said point being
9 .9 feet, measured along said southerly line, easterly of the
above described westerly boundary, to a point on the northerly
line of said Lot 63, said point being 4 .3 feet, measured along
said northerly line, easterly of the above described westerly
boundary;
Bounded on the southerly side by the southerly line of
said Lot 63;
Bounded on the northerly side by the northerly line of
said Lot 63 .
AND WHEREAS, said Samuel Cohen has offered to sell the
above-described land to the City of Miami Beach for the sum of
$9,000 .00, cash, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an Agreement to be
executed by the parties in the premises, with the terms of which
the said City Council is familiar, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best interest
of the City to purchase said land for said price for public street
purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to close the transaction con-
templated by the terms of said Agreement and the disbursing of-
ficers o ' the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to disburse the monies required to be disbursed by the terms of
said Agreement, from funds of the City available for such purpose .
