Resolution 8442 RESOLUTION NO. 8442
WHEREAS, .IILLIAM BURBRIDGE has proposed to sell to the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, for the price andon the terms
hereinafter set forth, the following described lands, situate,
lying and being in Miami Beach, Florida, to-wit:
Lots Thirteen (13) and Sixteen (16) in Block
Thirty (30) of Second devised Plat of portions
of Ocean Side Section and Trouville Section of
ISLE OF NORMANDY, according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 40 page 35, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
AND WHEREAS, said William Burbridge has offered to con-
vey sad! . land to said City by good and sufficient warranty deed
for the sum of Sixteen Thousand (416,000.00) Dollars, all cash,
free and clear of all encumbrances, except restrictions, con-
ditions and limitations of record; zoning ordinances of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida; taxes for the year 1953 which are
to be pro-rated as of the date of closing the transaction in-
volving said sale and purchase, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be to the best interest of said City to ac-
cept said offer, and
WHEREAS, the City attorney has prepared an agreement
between the owner and the City providing for the said sale, the
City Council being familiar with the terms of said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City ar Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the disbursing officers
of the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
make such disbursements as are called for by said agreement out
of funds of the City available for such purpose.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of July, A. D. 1953.
