Resolution 8447 IL,aOLUTION NO. 8447
JHEREAS, NICHOLAS M. SCHENCK is willing to sell to the
City for the sum of Two thousand seven hundred & n0/100-- in cash,
that certain parcel of land situate in hiami Beach, Dade County,
Florida, described as follows , to-wit:
That portion of Lots 29 and 30 of FIRST OCEAN
FRONT SUBDIVISION of the Miami Beach Bay Shore
Company according to the amended plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 9, page 78 of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida, bounded as
follows:
Begin at the intersection of the northerly line
of Lot Thirty (30) , of First Ocean Front Sub-
division of the Miami Beach Bay Shore Company,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 9, page 73 of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida, and the easterly line of Col-
lins Avenue as shown on said Plat; thence east-
erly along the northerly line of said Lot Thirty
( . 0) a distance of 14.07 feet; thence southerly
along a portion of a circular curve deflecting
to the left, said curve having a central angle
of 19 degrees 30 minutes and a radius of 667.4
feet, a distance of 144.76 feet, more or less
to a point on the easterly line of Collins
Avenue, said point being the point of curvature
of the aforementioned curve; thence northerly
along the said east e, line of Collins Avenue
a distance of 142.17/ the point of beginning.
AND, '.IHEIREAS, the City Attorney has caused to be pre-
pared an agreement between the City and the said Owner, in which
the terms of said proposed sale are set forth and with which the
members of the City Council are familiar, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best
interest of the City to purchase said land for public street and
sidewalk purposes upon the terms and conditions set forth in said
agreement,
NOL1, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the disbursing officers of
the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make
such disbursements as are called for by said agreement out of
funds of the City available for such purpose,
