WHEREAS, Carl Gardner was appointed a member
of the Miami Beach Boxing Commission on July 18,
1951; and
WHEREAS, for the past two years he was a
staunch and dependable member of this committee;
and
WHEREAS, it is our desire at this time to
officially record our gratitude for the effective
service he has given us;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the
City Council of Miami Beach, Florida, do hereby
unanimously tender our sincere appreciation to
Carl Gardner whose interest in the field of sports
particularly fitted him for membership on our
Boxing Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this
Resolution be presented to Mr. Gardner as a tangible
testimonial of our true regard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of August, A.D.
1953.
