Resolution 8488 RESOLUTION NO. 8488
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, on
the 18th day of April, 1951, did duly pass and adopt Resolution
No. 7522, and
WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution No. 7522, it was deemed
necessary for the welfare of the City of Miami Beach and its
inhabitants to acquire, for public street purposes, the following
described parcel of land situate in Miami Beach, Forida, to wit:
The Southerly Fifteen (15) feet of Lot One (1)
of FLAMINGO BAY SUBDIVISIOI NUMBER ONE (,,=`l)
said Fifteen (15) feet being measured at right
angles to the southerly line of said Lot One
(1 as said Lot and Subdivision are shown on a
Plat recorded in Plat Book 6, Page 101, of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, it was also then and there duly resolved that the
City Attorney be authorized and directed to institute condemnation
proceedings for the acquisition of the said land for said purposes,
and
,lHE E S, the City Attorney did institute such proceedings and
the same are now pending, and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the institution of said proceedings it
has been duly deterLined and recommended by the City Engineer
that while the acquisition of all of the said land is desirable,
in view of presently existing circumstances it is to the best in-
terests of the City of Miami Beach to acquire only that portion of
said land described as follows, to-wit:
The Southerly Light (8) feet of Lot One (1) of
FLAMII1GO BAY SUBDIVISION NUMBER ONE (7/1) , said
Eight (8) feet being measured at right angles
to the southerly line of said Lot One (1) , as
said Lot and Subdivision are shown on a Plat re-
corded in Plat Book 6, Page 101, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is in accord with the present deter-
mination and recommendation of the City Engineer, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
deems it necessary for the welfare of said City and the inhabitants
thereof, to acquire, for public street purposes, the following
described parcel of land situate, lying and being in Miami Beach,
Dade County, Florida, to-wit:
The southerly eight (8) feet of Lot One (1)
FLINGO BAY SUBDIVISION NO. 1, said eight (

feet being measured at right angles to the
southerly line of said Lot One (1) , as said
Lot and Subdivision are shown on a Plat re-
corded in Plat Book 6, Page 101, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND DECLARED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that it is necessary that the

fee simple title to the last above-described property be ac-
quired for development, use and maintenance for public street
purposes for the benefit of said City and its inhabitants, and
that the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized and di-
rectedto dismiss from the said pending proceedings all but
the said Southerly Eight (8) feet of said Lot One (1) and to
thereafter continue the pending necessary legal proceedings in
the name of said City in the exercise of the right of eminent
domain for the condemnation of said Southerly Eight (8) feet
of said Lot One (1) for public street purposes.
