Resolution 8489 RESOLUTION NO. 8489
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it necessary for the welfare of said City and the
inhabitants thereof, to acquire, for public park purposes, for
the use of said City and its inhabitants, the following described
lane situate, lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida,
to-wit:
A portion of that certain parcel of land lying
southerly of and adjoining Lot One (1) , Block
Eleven (il) , of the Ocean 1�'ront Property of
the Miami Beach Improvement Company, as shown
on the amended Plat thereof, recorded in Plat
Book Five (5) , Pages Seven (7) and Light (8)
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
said portion being bounded as follows:
Bounded on the southerly side bi- a
line drawn easterly from the most
northerly point of Lot Five (5) , Block
Eight (8) , of the above mentioned Ocean
Front Property of the Niiami Beach Im-
provement Company, and parallel to the
southerly line of said Lot ive ( ) .
Bounded on the northerly side by a
line parallel to and Thirty-five (35)
feet northerly of the above described
southerly boundary.
Bounded on the easterly side by the At-
lantic Ocean.
Bounded on the westerly side by the
westerly line of the said parcel of
land lying southerly of, and adjoining
said Lot One (1) , Bloclr ;Jleven (11) .
As said Lots and Blocks are shown on the above
mentioned Flat.
Together with all common law and statutory ri-
parian and water rights appurtenant and adjacent
thereto.
And also,
That certain parcel of land lying easterly of
the northerly thirty-five (3 5) feet of Lot Five
(5) , Block Eight (8) , of the Ocean Front Pro-
pery of the Miami Beach Improvement Company,
as shown on the amended Plat thereof recorded
in Plat Book Five (5) , Pages Seven (7) , ami
Eight (8) , of the Public j iecords of Dade County,
Florida, bounded as follows:
Bounded on the westerly side by the
easterly line of Miami Beach Drive.
Bounded on the easterly side b/ the
Atlantic Ocean.

Bounded on the northerly side by a
line drawn easterly fromthe most
northerly point of said Lot Five
(5) parallel to the southerly line
of said Lot 2ive (5) .
Bounded on the southerly side by a
line parallel to and thirty-five
(35) feet southerly of the above de-
scribed northerly boundary.
As said Lot and Block and Miami Beach Drive are
shown on the above mentioned Plat.
Together with all common law and statutory ri-
parian and water rights appurtenant and ad-
jacent thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND DECLARED by the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that it is necessary
that the fee simple title to the above-described property be ac-
quired for use and maintenance for public park purposes for the
benefit of said City and its inhabitants, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE+ that she City Attorney be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to institute the necessary legal
proceedings in the name of said City in the exercise of the right
of eminent domain for the condemnation of said property for said
purposes.
