RESOLUTION NO. 8499
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of The City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that every city contract which
involves the employment of free laborers, mechanics or
apprentices in the construction or repairs of any public
building or the prosecution and completion of any public
work shall contain a clause reading substantially as
follows :
"The rate of wages for all laborers,
mechanics, and apprentices employed by any
contractor or sub-contractor on the work
covered by this contract shall be not less
than the prevailing rate of wages for
similar classification of work in the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, nor shall such
rate of wages be less than the prevailing
wages as established by the Department of
Labor for Federal contracts in the greater
Miami area. "
