Resolution 8555 RESOLUTION NO . 8555
WHEREAS, agreements have been heretofore prepared by
the terms of which various Hotel Operators of the City of
Miami Beach, in consideration of benefits which will accrue
to such operators, have agreed to pay over to the City an
amount equal to five percent (5%) of the gross room revenue
accruing to the operators from conventions booked and held
in said City during the period extending from September 1,
1953 to August 31, 1955, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms
of said agreements and deems it to be to the best interest
of the City that said agreements be entered into
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
execute in the name of and on behalf of said City the said
agreements being dated September 2, 1953 and being as
follows :
AGREEMENT oetween City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators , among whom is RAYMOND J. BIAGIOTTI for
the Continental Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is ELI MELTZER for the
Vanderbilt Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is JACK MURAVCHICK for the
Sagamore Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is HERMAN G. KREINBERG for
the Albion Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is H. J. STUPELL for the
Shoreham-Norman Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is ROMEO R . MOREAU for the
Mount Royal Manor Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is W. H. BERNSTEIN for the
Georgian Hotel , and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is JERRY GRANGER for the
Sherry Frontenac Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is LOUIS N. LECHNER for the
Charles Hotel, and

AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is LAWRENCE MITNICK for the
Lord Baltimore Hotel, and
AGREEMENT between City of Miami Beach and various
Hotel Operators, among whom is STUART L. MOORE for the
San Souci Hotel .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of October
