Resolution 8630 RESOLUTION NO. 8630
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, on
the 18th day of June, 1952 did duly pass and adopt Resolution
No . 8043, and
WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution No . 8043, it was deem-
ed necessary for the welfare of said City and the inhabitants
thereof, to acquire, for public park purposes, certain parcels
of land situate, lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade County,
Florida, said parcels of land being particularly described in
said Resolution No . 8043, and
WHEREAS, it was then and there duly resolved that the City
Attorney be authorized and directed to institute condemnation
proceedings for the acquisition of the said land for said
purposes, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney did institute such proceedings
and the same are now pending, the same being entitled City of
Miami Beach, Petitioner, vs . Alice McCulloch Bell, et al, De-
fendants, and being Common Law No . 27083 in the Circuit Court
of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida in
and for Dade County, and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the institution of said proceedings
it has been duly determined by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach that it is to the best interest of the City of
Miami Beach to dismiss the said condemnation proceedings,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City Attorney be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to dismiss the said pending
condemnation proceedings hereinabove described.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 30th day of December, A.D. 1953.
