Resolution 8677 RESOLUTION NO. 8677
WHEREAS, Agreements have heretofore been prepared by
the terms of which various Hotel Operators of the City of Miami
Beach, in consideration of benefits which will accrue to such
operators, have agreed to pay over to the City an amount equal
to five percent (5%) of the gross room revenue accruing to the
operators from conventions booked and held in said City during
the period extending from September 1, 1953 to August 31, 1955,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of
said agreements andabems it to be to the best interest of the
City that said agreements be entered into
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute in
the name of and on behalf of said City the said agreements
which are as follows :
AGREEMENT dated March 3, 1954, between the City of Miami
Beach and various hotel operators, among whom is MORRIS KRIEGEL
for the Tropics Hotel, and
AGREEMENT dated March 3, 1954, between the City of Miami
Beach and various hotel operators, among whom is Dr. GUSTAVE L.
DREXEL, for the Drexel House .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of March, A. D. 1954.
