Resolution 8715 RESOLUTION NO. 8715
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has
recently acquired, by purchase from the abutting property
owners, the land required to make possible the relocation
of and the partial straightening of the dangerous curve
which now exists in Collins Avenue in the proximity of the
5400 block, the said portion of Collins Avenue being a
state road; and
WHEREAS, on and under said portion of Collins
Avenue there now exist various City owned public utility
facilities, including storm sewers, sanitary sewers and
appurtenances, water mains and appurtenances, and White Way
light installations, including standards and cables; and
WHEREAS, the relocation and partial straightening
of said curve will make necessary the raising, lowering
or relocation of said facilities; and
WHEREAS, the State Road Department has expressed
its willingness and intention to make, at its expense,
the necessary extension of the existing storm sewers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that all costs
incurred in connection with the relocation, raising or
lowering of the sanitary sewers and appurtenances, the
said water mains and appurtenances, and of the White Way
light installations, and of all other City owned utilities,
if any there be besides the aforesaid storm sewers, shall
be borne by the City of Miami Beach, Florida;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and he is hereby directed to furnish to the State Road
Department a certified copy of this Resolution.
