Resolution 8744 RESOLUTION NO. 8744
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has been advised that the OPERA GUILD
OF GREATER TJIIAMI desires to lease the premises and
facilities of the Miami Beach Auditorium for the purpose
of two Grand Operas, one Grand Opera, "BARBER OF SEVILLE",
to be held on Janur,ry 31st, 1955, and the other, "LUCIA
DI LAMMERMOOR" to be held on February 2)4., 1955; and
WHEREAS, two lease agreements have been prepared
by the Auditorium Manager and approved as to form by the
City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised of and
is familiar with the terms and provisions of said lease
agreements, and deems it to be to the best interest of
the City to authorize the execution of said lease
agreements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and
the City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the above described lease agreements
on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, and that the
Auditorium Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken
therein by the City.
