Resolution 8793 RESOLUTION NO. 8793
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida recognizes that the JUNIOR CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE INTERNATIONAL now has a membership of hundreds
of thousands of persons in more than 3,000 cities through-
out the world; and
N. AS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida recognizes that the JUNIOR CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE INTERNATIONAL is widely and favorably known for
its efforts and accomplishments in the field of inter-
national good will, help and faith; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, joined by the Miami Beach Junior Chamber of Com-
merce, is desirous of establishing a permanent home for
the Secretariat of the JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INTER-
NATIONAL in the City of Miami Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami. Beach, Florida is
advantageously located in one of the great metropolitan
crossroads of the world and is conveniently accessible
to all nations of the world; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has
available convenient, suitable and adequate facilities
for the establishment of a permanent home for the Sec-
retariat of the JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INTERNATIONAL
in the building formerly occupied by the Miami Beach
Chamber of Commerce, said building being located at
1210 Fifth Street, MisTO Beach, Florida and more parti-
cularly described as Lots 47 and 48A of Block 111 of Ocean
Beach Addition No . 3, as recorded in the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida in Plat Book 2, at page 81; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida believes that the establishment of a per-
manent home for the Secretariat of the JUNIOR CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE INTERNATIONAL at the above described location is
highly desirable because of the publicity and the economic,
educational and cultural benefits to be derived by the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, from the establishment at Miami
Beach, Florida, of such permanent home.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida that in order to induce
the establishment in the City of Miami Beach, Florida of a
permanent home for the Secretariat of the JUNIOR CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE INTERNATIONAL the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida does hereby offer to lease to the JUNIOR
CHAMBER OF CO IIr CE INTERNATIONAL for a period of five (5)
years at a nominal rental of One ($1 .00) Dollar a year the
premises known as 1210 Fifth Street, Miami Beach, Florida
hereinbefore described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and
he is hereby authorized to transmit certified copies of this
Resolution to the JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INTERNATIONAL
and to the MIAMI BEACH JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
