Resolution 8812 RESOLUTION NO. 8812
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida did on the 21st day of July, 1954 pass and adopt its
Resulution No . 8755 by the terms of which the Mayor and the
City Clerk were authorized and directed to execute in the name
of and on behalf of said City a certain agreement therein re-
ferred to between CHARNOFREE CORPORATION, and others, and the
said City, in connection with the widening of that portion of
Collins Avenue adjacent on the west to the land heretofore
commonly referred to as the Firestone Estate; and
WHEREAS, circumstances have arisen which make it
necessary to make various changes in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has redrafted said agree-
ment in order to embody said changes and has presented the
agreement, as redrafted, to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the
best interests of the City to enter into said new agreement
with the terms of which it is familiar,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
execute said agreement in the name of and on behalf of said
City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and
the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and direct-
ed to carry out the terms of said agreement for and in be-
half of said City and the disbursing officers of the City
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay out
such sums of money as the City is obligated to pay out under
the terms of said agreement, from the funds of said City
available for such purpose .
