Resolution 8820 RESOLUTION No. 8820
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of October, 1953,
the CITY OF RAMI BEACH, a Florida municipal corporation,
did enter into a contract with HIGGINS,INC. , which contract
is entitled "Contract 84.-S-R, Sanitary Sewer Replacement
on La Gorce Drive from 60th Street to 63rd Street"; and
WHEREAS, the contractor did furnish a
contract bond to the City of Miami Beach as required by the
specifications for the said contract; and
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of May, 19542 the
City did mutually agree with HIGGINS, INC. , to cancel
the said Contract 84 S. R. ; and
WHEREAS, the Hartford Accident and Indemnity
Company, the surety on the said contract bona, is desirous of
obtaining a release from the provisions of the said bond;
THEREFORE, '3E IT RESOLVED by THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a release of contract
bond be furnished the said surety, HARTFORD ACCIDENT AND
INDEMNITY COMPANY, and the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the said release in the
name of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
