HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
H-396 H-396
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA :
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:
H-396 Seventy-First (71) Street from Rue Notre Dame to and
including North Bay Causeway Approach, to be paved, and
where heretofore paved to be repaved to a width of Sixty
(60) feet with a bituminous wearing surface on a Ten(10)
inch rock base, and improved on both sides with concrete
curb and gutter.
Together with necessary drainage, sewer inlets, manholes
and catch basins.
As said Seventy-First (71) Street, Rue Notre Dame, North
Bay Causeway and Approach are shown on Plats recorded in
Plat Book Thirty-Four (311..) , Page Eighty (80) , Plat Book
Forty (40) , Page Thirty-Three (33) , Plat Book Twenty-Five
(25) , Page Fifty-Six (56) , and Plat Book Twenty-Five (25) ,
Page Sixty (60) of the Public Records of Dade County,Florida,
and as said Seventy-First (71) Street is named and designa-
ted in Ordinance No. 982.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement
and an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of
the cost of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the
inspection and superintendence of the work, the preparation of
plans and specifications and estimates, the printing and publi-
cation of notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds,
interest during construction, legal services, abstracts,etcA,
and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the
proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated
amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the
cost of such improvement is hereby designated as DistrictH-396
and is described as follows :
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Seventy-
First (71) Street and lying between Rue Notre Dame and
to and including North Bay Causeway Approach.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assess-
ments and bonds as Highway Improvement H-396, and the property
against which assessments therefor may be made for the cost
thereof shall be designated as District H-396.
