WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:
WW-122 Both sides of 30th, 31st, and 41st Streets from Collins Avenue
to the Atlantic Ocean; Both sides of 32nd,33rd,34th,35th,36th,
37th,38th,39th,40th,42nd and 43rd Streets from Indian Creek
Drive to the Atlantic Ocean.
To be improved with a Whiteway lighting system of ornamental posts
and lamps at approximately Two Hundred Fifty(250)feet apart on
each side with underground connections for lighting.
As said Streets, Drive and Ocean are shown on a Plat recorded in
Plat Book 5, Pages 7 and 8,of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, and as said 30th,31st,32nd,33rd,34th,35th,36th,37th,
38th,39th,40th,41st,42ndan43Streets are named and designated
in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and
an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost
of the expenses of the preliminary and cther surveys, the inspec-
1 tion and superintendence of the wcrk, the preparation of plans and
specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of
notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during
construction, legal services, abstracts, etc,, and any other
expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work
herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against
each front foot of abutting property°
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost
of such improvement is hereby designated as District.WW-122 and
is described as follows :
All of those lots or parcels of land abutting on both sides
of 30th, 31st and 41st Streets and lying between Collins Avenue
and the Atlantic Ocean,and on both sides of 32nd,33rd,34th,35th,
36th,37th,38th,39th,40th,42nd and 43rd Streets and lying between
Indian Creek Drive and the Atlantic Ocean.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property,
the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such
portion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total
cost as the length of the street intersections bears to the total
street frontage within the district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-122 and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District WW-122
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 16th DAY OF March, A .D. 1955.
