WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WW-125 WW-125
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:
WW-125 Both sides of Harding Avenue from 67th Street to 72nd Street.
To be improved with a Whiteway lighting system of ornamental
posts and lamps at approximately One Hundred Seventy(170)feet
apart on each side with underground connections for lighting.
As said Streets and Avenue are shown on Plats recorded in
Plat Book 9, Page ]4; Plat Book 21,Page 54, and Plat Book
28, Page 2d, of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
and as said Harding Avenue is named and designated in Ordi-
nance No. 232, and said 72nd Street is named and designated
in Resolution No. 6111
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and
an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost
of the expenses of the preliminary and other surveys, the inspec-
tion and superintendence of the wcrk, the preparation of plans and
specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of
notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during
construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other
expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work
herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against
each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost
of such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-125 and
is described as follows :
All those lots or parcels of land abutting on both sides
of Harding Avenue and lying between 67th Street and 72nd
Street.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property,
the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such
portion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total
cost as the length of the street intersections bears to the total
street frontage within the district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-125 and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District WW-125.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 16th DAY OF March, A.D. 1955.
