RESOLUTION NO. 9025
WHEREAS the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, through
its duly authorized officers, as a result of negotiations,
has orally agreed to lease to the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, for the term of fifteen (15) years at an annual
rental of Six Thousand ($6,000.00) Dollars the easterly
portion of the government reservation which lies within
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, north of and adjacent
to Government Cut, said portion comprising 4 .8 acres,
more or less, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida deems it to be to the best interest of
said City to procure the use of said land for public
park and bathing beach purposes .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida that the
Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
to execute a lease with the United States of America
in accordance with said oral agreement .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of April, A.D.
1955.
