Resolution 9099 RESOLUTION NO. 9099
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, the Certificate of the In-
spectors who conducted the Primary Election held on July 19, 1955,
for the purpose of electing a non-voting member of the Personnel Board
from Group 3 of the employees of the City of Miami Beach, in
accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 9087 as passed
and adopted by the City Council on July 6, 1955, and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has canvassed saidre-
turns and certificate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
said City that they hereby adopt the said Certificate as the re-
sult of said Primary Election, and do hereby declare the member
from Group 3 e1 cted to the Personnel Board to be as follows :
GROUP 3 : GEORGE E. BOND (Elected by 168 votes of
268 votes cast, being a
clear majority at the
Primary Election. )
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of July, A. P. , 1955.

We, the undersigned Inspectors, do hereby certify, in duplicate,
that we held and conducted a Primary Election of the members of Group 3 of
the Employees of the City of Miami Beach, at the City Time Office, 268
Alton Road, I-iiami Beach, on July 19, 1955, for the purpose of nominating
three (3) candidates for the Personnel Board Election to be held on July
26, 1955 ; that at the close of the polls we proceeded to open the ballot
box, count the ballots and found the result of said Primary Election as
conducted by us to be as follows, which result we then publicly proclaimed.
That for Candidates for the Personnel Board from Group 3, the
following were nominated:
GUQRGE E. BOND _ received 168 votes
R. H. JOHNSTONE received 98 votes
ARTHUR HOLLAND received 1 votes
