Resolution 9139 RESOLUTION NO. 9139
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida finds it necessary and essential to the proper
government of said City that a legal consultant be
employed by said City to confer with and to advise and
counsel the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, the members
of the City Council and the City Attorney on legal matters
and problems arising in the course of the conduct of the
business of said City, and to attend the meetings of the
City Council when practicable so to do, it being understood
that such employment will not include the drawing of
contracts, the preparation of ordinances and resolutions,
or the representation of the City in any form of litigation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida that BEN SHEPARD,
Attorney at law, be and he is hereby employed as legal
consultant of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, with the
duties hereinbefore set forth, at a compensation hereby
fixed at $ 750.00 per month, payable in semi-
monthly payments, said employment to commence immediately
and be subject to termination at the will of either party.
