Resolution 9147 RESOLUTION NO . 9147
WHEREAS, C . W. Tomlinson, the duly appointed and
acting City Clerk, Tax Collector and Chief Finance Officer
is absent from his office and incapacitated by illness for
the performance of his duties, and
WHEREAS, such absence and incapacity, so occasioned,
may be of prolonged duration, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has duly appointed and
designated R. W. L. JOHNSON, a duly appointed and acting
Deputy City Clerk and Deputy City Tax Collector to be
Chief Deputy City Clerk, Chief Deputy City Tax Collector and
Chief Finance Officer during the absence and incapacity of the
said C . W. Tomlinson,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the appointment by the City
Manager of R. W. L. Johnson, as Chief Deputy City Clerk,
Chief Deputy City Tax Collector and Chief Finance Officer,
during the absence of C . W. Tomlinson from his offices, and his
incapacity to act, be and the same is hereby approved, ratified
and confirmed, and that his acts in the performance of the
duties of the City Clerk, City Tax Collector and Chief Finance
Officer, shall be held and deemed to be as fully authorized,
for and in behalf of the City of Miami Beach, as though per-
formed by the City Clerk, City Tax Collector and Chief Finance
Officer.
