Resolution 9163 RESOLUTION NO . 9163
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Railway Company has delivered
to the City of Miami Beach ten (10 ) United States Government
bonds in the total principal amount of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00)
Dollars, under the provisions of Ordinance No . 1140, and
WHEREAS, the City desires that said bonds and such other
bonds that may be delivered by said Miami Beach Railway Company
to the City, be held in safekeeping with The Miami Beach First
National Bank, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement by
and between the City and the Bank which provides for the safe
custody of said bonds, and the City Council being familiar with
the terms of said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement in the name and behalf of the City .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to carry
out the terms of said agreement for and in behalf of said City
and the disbursing officers of the City be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to pay out such sums of money as the
City is obligated to pay out under the terms of said agreement,
from the funds of said City available for such purpose .
