Event: 2018 ITF Young Seniors World Championship
Date: Sunday, October 19, 2018 — Saturday, November 3, 2018
Time: 8:30 a.m. — 8:30 p.m.
Location: Flamingo Park Tennis Center (999 11th Street) & Miami Beach Tennis Center
(501 72"d Street)
For the second year in a row, the City of Miami Beach will be hosting the 2018 ITF Young
Seniors World Championships at the Flamingo Park and Miami Beach Tennis Centers. We will
be welcoming over 1000 participants from over 32 different countries, in a free event open to the
public. Team tournament competitions for participants in the 35-40-45 age divisions will begin
October 21st and run through the 26th. Competitions for Men's and Women's Singles, Doubles
and Mixed Doubles in the 35-40-45 age divisions will start October 27th through November 3rd
Event: Playtime Sports Soccer (Start Smart)
Date: Tuesday, October 2, 2018 — Thursday, November 1, 2018 (Tues./Thurs.)
Time: 1:15 p.m. —2:15 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park (501 72nd Street)
The Parks and Recreation Department will be piloting the Playtime Sports Soccer— Start Smart
Program with 5-week sessions, which offers child motor skill development through sports. The
parent-child program will introduce children to basic sports skills, gradually building confidence
in participants while having fun at the same time.
Event: Hispanic Heritage Festival
Date: Friday, October 12, 2018
Time: 6:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park (501 72"d Street)
A celebration of Hispanic culture with music, dancing, rides and more. Admission is free;
carnival rides and refreshments for sale. Pass by one of our main facilities to purchase tickets
starting October 8th.

Event: Movie in the Park
Date: Saturday, October 13, 2018
Time: 6:30 p.m. (sundown)
Location: Muss Park (4300 Chase Avenue)
Enjoy a family movie night at Muss Park. Free admission and refreshments for sale. Call

Event: Safe Night of Fright
Date: Friday, October 26, 2018
Time: Trunk o' Treat: 5:00 p.m. — 6:30 p.m. Movie: 6:30 p.m. (sundown)
Location: North Shore Park (501 72"d Street)
Enjoy a safe night of fright with a movie in the park, pumpkin carving, and "Trunk o' Treat".
Admission is free; refreshments for sale. New this year, there will be a Laser Tag Zombie
Takeover presented by the Teen Club for a separate fee of $5.00.
Event: Halloween Happenings
Date: Wednesday, October 31, 2018
Time: 6:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m.
Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Avenue)
Come join us for carnival games, treats, and tot street and rides. There will be an expanded
Haunted House designed for older children and adults. Entrance for adults and children 3+ is
$5.00 (cash). Concessions for sale. For safety purposes, only children 10 and under are allowed
to wear masks.
