RESOLUTION NO. 9456
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, desires to obtain a comprehensive survey of the Miami
Beach Public Library, including present library facilities,
services and personnel, together with recommendations for present
and future planning, and
WHEREAS, John Hall Jacobs, Librarian of the New
Orleans Public Library, New Orleans, Louisiana, is willing to
furnish such a comprehensive survey, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Miami Beach
has prepared an agreement for such survey, with the terms of
which agreement the City Council is familiar, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be to the best interest of the City to enter into
such an agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute
said agreement in the name of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of April, A.D. 1957.
