Resolution 9459 RESOLUTION NO. 9459
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Servicemen ' s Center will, on
April 26th, observe its Fifth Anniversary and during
this period has played host to approximately 98,000
members of our country ' s armed forces , from all corners
of the nation, and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Servicemen ' s Center was founded
through the untiring and zealous efforts of Maurice
"Doc " Klein
THEREFORE, be it resolved , that the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida express its sincere
appreciation of Maurice Klein who so capably instituted
this means of extending the traditional spirit of
hospitality in Miami Beach to the servicemen of our
great country .
His daily contributions to the success of the Center
are tangible testimony of a distinct public service .
In witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and
caused the seal of the City of Miami Beach to be
affixed.
Done at Miami Beach, Florida, this seventeenth day of
April, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred fifty-
seven.
