Resolution 9490 RESOLUTION NO. 9490
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
has heretofore authorized the City of Miami Beach to enter into
a lease with Roosevelt Corp . , as Lessee, which lease was entered
into under date of October 17, 1956, and which lease demises a
small, triangular portion of land adjacent to the Roosevelt
Theatre Building on Arthur Godfrey Road in the City of Miami
Beach, an exact description of which is contained in the said
lease; and
WHEREAS, the Lessee has requested the City to amend
the lease by granting the Lessee an option to extend the said
lease for a period of two (2) years; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be to the best interests
of the City to grant the option extending the said lease; and
WHEREAS, an instrument amending the said lease has
been prepared, which is acceptable to the Lessee, with the terms -
of which the City Council is familiar;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute the
above described amended lease agreement on behalf of the City
of Miami Beach.
