Resolution 9526 RESOLUTION NO. 9526
WHEREAS, D. Lee Powell has recently completed his second
term as Mayor of the City of Miami Beach, Florida;
WHEREAS, Mayor Powell as a good will emissary spread the
fame of Miami Beach wherever he traveled on official business
throughout North and South America in furthering the bonds of
friendship;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Miami
Beach and a grateful community that an expression of appreci-
ation be tendered D. Lee Powell for his distinguished public
service . His constructive contributions, broad experience
and sound judgment have contributed greatly to the progress
and development of Miami Beach and the welfare of the State of
Florida.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon
the minutes of the City Council meeting; and, furthermore, that
a copy be presented to D. Lee Powell as a testimonial of our
gratitude for his effective demonstration of true public interest.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, A. D. 1957.
