A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CANVASSING
THE RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELY)
AUGUST 6TH, 1957, AND DECLARING THE RESULT
TO BE FOR ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, this City Council has made a canvass of the
returns of the certificates of the Clerks and Inspectors who
held and conducted the Special Election held on August 6, 1957,
such canvass having been made solely, exclusively and entirely
from such returns,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that we do hereby find and declare
that the total number of votes cast in said election in favor
of the adoption of the ordinance and the total number of votes
cast in said election against the adoption of the ordinance
were as follows :
Upon the Question: "Shall the following ordinance be
adopted?
"BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
THAT ALL ORDINANCES AMENDING ORDI-
NANCE NUMBER 289, COMMONLY KNOWN AS
THE "ZONING ORDINANCE OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA", PASSED AND ENACTED BETWEEN
THE DATES OF MARCH 27, 1957 AND
APRIL 17, 1957, INCLUSIVE, BE AND THE
SAME ARE HEREBY REPEAT,FD. " 4,296
VOTES WERE CAST, OF WHICH 3, 178 VOTES
WERE "FOR ADOPTION" AND 1, 118 VOTES
WERE "AGAINST ADOPTION".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we do hereby declare that
the ordinance has been duly and legally approved by the voters.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of August, A. D. 1957.
