RESOLUTION NO. 9593
WHEREAS, the Pension Board of the City of Miami Beach
heretofore entered into an agreement on October 1 , 1956
with Bankers Life and Casualty Company of Chicago, Illinois
to provide Group Hospitalization Insurance for officers and
employees of the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, said agreement expires, by its terms, on
September 30, 1957; and
WHEREAS, the Pension Board has, after due consideration,
negotiated an agreement with said Bankers Life and Casualty
Company for extending said insurance for a period of one (1 )
year from September 30, 1957 upon the same terms and conditions
as the existing agreement, with the same actuarial rates
of cost, with all of which the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach has been made familiar;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the extension of
said agreement for said insurance by the Pension Board
upon the actuarial rates of cost and terms and conditions
as aforesaid, be and the same is hereby approved, in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 27730, Special Acts 1951,
Laws of Florida .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of September,
