Resolution 9614 RESOLUTION NO . 96114
WHEREAS, the owner of the fee simple title
in and to those certain parcels of land situate in Dade
County, Florida and described as follows:
Lots Three ( 3) and Fourteen
( 14) , Block Fifteen ( 15) ,
OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO . 2,
according to the plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 2, page
56 of the public records of
Dade County, Florida
has offered to sell the same to the City of Miami Beach
for the sum of 41;102,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach deems it to be for the best interest of said City
to acquire said land at the price so offered for the purpose
of off the street parking of automobiles; and
WHEREAS, the attorney for the City has prepared
an agreement embodying the details of said transaction, and
the City Council being familiar with the contents thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said agreement in the name of and on behalf of
said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the disbursing
officers of said City be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to make the disbursements required by the terms
of said agreement from funds of said City available for such
purpose .
