Resolution 9622 RESOLUTION NO. 9622
WHEREAS, the Miami News has recently erected and been
installed in new quarters in our area, and
WHEREAS, this outstanding publication has contributed
immeasurably to the continuing progress and development that
is so inherent to South Florida,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it most warmly commends
the President of the MIAMI NEWS, Mr. James Cox, Jr. ; the
publisher, Mr. Dan Mahoney, and its officers. Their genuine
and sincere interest in the welfare of our communities has
been concretely demonstrated by the provision of these
increased facilities which will implement and be the instrument
of even greater services and news coverage of events, both
locally and nationally, which so tangibly affect the daily
lives of our citizenry by its most capable editor and staff.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be
sent to Mr. James Cox, Jr. , and Mr. Dan Mahoney as tacit
testimony of our deep regard.
