Resolution 9656 RESOLUTION NO. 9656
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, did on the 2nd day of October, 1957, adopt Resolution
No. 9616 wnicn autnorized and directed the purchase from David
Rott and Harry Rott of that certain land situated in Miami Beach,
and described as follows, to wit :
Those certain unnumbered outlots lying
westerly of Lots 7 and 8, Block 7, of
the Ocean Front Property of Miami Beach
Improvement Company, according to the
Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 5
at pages 7 and 8 of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida, said outlots
being otherwise described as that certain
parcel of land bounded on the East by
Indian Creek Drive, bounded on the West
by Indian Creek, bounded on the North by
the North line of said Lot 7 extended
westerly to Indian Creek, bounded on the
South by the South line of said Lot 8
extended westerly to Indian Creek;
and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the execution of the agreement
entered into accordingly by and between the parties, said David
Rott and Harry Rott did convey the hereinabove described land to
the Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit, subject to and in
recognization of the aforesaid agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has determined that the
said Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit is duly incorporated
as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Michigan,
and that the said corporation is in good standing, and is legally
authorized to acquire and to convey title to real estate, and
that no legal objection exists to the performance of the said agreement
by the said Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit in lieu of, and
in the place of, the said David Rott and Harry Rott,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Attorney be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to consummate the said agreement
in accordance with the foregoing subject, however, to all other
provisions of said agreement.
