Resolution 9664 RESOLUTION NO. 9664
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach heretofore acquired
for off-street automobile parking purposes, the fee simple title
to the following described land situate in Miami Beach, Florida,
to wit:
Lots 19, 20, 21 and 22 of Block 54,
less the westerly 94 feet of said
Lots 19 and 2) , of FISHER'S FIRST
SUBDIVISION OD ALTON BEACH, according
to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat
Book 2 at page 77 of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida,
and
WHEREAS the said land is encumbered by a mortgage lien
in the principal sum of $245,000.00, payable on or before April 1,
1958, with interest thereon at the rate of 42 per cent per annum
from May 2, 1957; and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be to the best interests of the City of Miami
Beach to discharge said mortgage by payment immediately and
forthwith,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said sum of $245,000.00,
together with an additional sum equal in amount to the amount of
interest on said $245,000.00 from May 2, 1957 to date of payment
the rate of 42 per cent per annum, be and the same are hereby
appropriated from current unappropriated funds of the General Fund
of the City of Miami Beach for the purpose of discharging said
mortgage lien by payment thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said General Fund shall
hereafter be reimbursed by transferring thereto from the Surplus
Revenues Fund of the Metered Parking System of the City of Miami
Beach a sum equal to that hereby appropriated, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the proper financial and disbursing
officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to draw and disburse the sums hereby appropriated for
the purpose hereinabove set forth.
