Resolution 9693 7 RESOLUTION NO. 9693 WHEREAS, the United States of America, through its duly authorized officers, as a result of negotiations, has agreed to lease to the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for the period terminating April 30, 1970, at an annual rental of Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00) , the westerly portion of the government reservation which lies within the City of Miami Beach, Florida, north of and adjacent to Government Cut, said portion comprising 4 .89 acres, more or less, and WHEREAS, a lease of the above-described property has been duly prepared, and with which the City Council is familiar, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach deems it to be to the best interest of said City to procure the use of said land for recreational and other municipal purposes, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute said lease with the United States of America on behalf of and in the name of said City.
