Resolution 9945 RESOLUTION NO. 9945
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, is considering amending Ordinance No. 289,
commonly known as the"Zoning Ordinance of Miami Beach",
and the maps attached thereto and made a part thereof so
as to create a "Height District" wherein the height of any
building or structure erected, constructed, or reconstructed
shall be limited to thirty (30) feet, provided, however, that
upon the fulfillment of such conditions relating to yard areas,
building setback lines, structural design, or related matters,
as may be determined necessary to provide adequate light and
air, to prevent the overcrowding of land, and to conserve the
value of land and buildings, and to encourage the use of
land of its most appropriate use, such height may be increased
within such maximum limits thereon as may be found necessary,
and to place all lots fronting on the ocean in such Height
District or Districts as may be deemed necessary and appropriate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing be
and the same is hereby called to be held on the 4th day of
February, 1959, at 11:30 o' clock a.m. in the Council Chambers
of City Hall, Miami Beach, Florida, for the consideration of
said amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he
is hereby directed to give fifteen (15) days' notice of the
time, place and object of said hearing by Public Notice thereof,
published in the Miami Beach Sun, a newspaper of general
circulation in said City.
