A RESOLUTION PROVIDING AUTHORITY FOR AN ADDITIONAL
ACCOUNT TO BE SET UP IN THE BANK OF MIAMI BEACH, TO
BE DESIGNATED "CITY PENSION FUND FOR FIREMEN AND
POLICEMEN IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH - RETIREMENT
ACCOUNT", AND PROVIDING AUTHORITY FOR THE SIGNING OF
VOUCHERS DRAWING ON FUNDS IN SAID ACCOUNT,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That a fund, to be known and designated as "City Pension Fund
for Firemen and Policemen in the City of Miami Beach -
Retirement Account", be and the same ishereby authorized to be set up as
a separate account in the Bank of Miami Beach, a city depository, in the
initial amount of $500.00, into which account there shall thereafter be
deposited from time to time checks of the City Pension Fund for Firemen
and Policemen in the City of Miami Beach in such amounts as may be required
to meet the monthly payments of "Retirants".
SECTION 2. That withdrawals from said "City Pension Fund for Firemen and
Policemen in the City of Miami Beach - Retirement Fund" shall
be on printed checks of the City of Miami Beach, designated "City Pension
Fund for Firemen and Policemen in the City of Miami Beach - Retirement
Fund", each bearing the facsimile signatures of R. Wm. L. Johnson, as
City Clerk, and 0. M. Pushkin, as Assistant City Manager, in the colors
and with the background and other identifying symbols asimprinted on the
sample check attached hereto and made a part hereof; or
Each check may be manually signed with two signatures, as follows :
R. Wm. L. Johnson, as City Clerk,
or in his absence or inability to act for any reason,
W. B. Leddy, as Deputy City Clerk,
or in his absence or inability to act for any reason,
Raymond V. Shea, as Deputy City Clerk.
Countersigned by:
Morris N. Lipp, As City Manager,
or in his absence or inability to act for any reason,
0. M. Pushkin, as Assistant City Manager,
or in the absence of both or their inability to act for
any reason,
Margaret L. MacKay, as Secretary.
The City Clerk is hereby authorized to use said facsimile signatures
in connection with said account.
SECTION 3. That a certified copy hereof be delivered to the Bank of
Miami Beach and the Mercantile National Bank of Miami Beach.
