Morales, City Manager DATE: October 9, 2018 SUBJECT: Drug Enforcement Administration FArescription Takeback This letter to the Mayor and Commission is to inform you of the Police Department's sponsorship of the semi-annual DEA Prescription Takeback event. Too often unused, expired and unwanted prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands, or flushed down the drain where they make it into the water system. That's why a safe alternative is important. In partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, on October 27, 2018 the Miami Beach Police Department will host two drop off sites for the safe disposal of prescription medications. The addresses and times are listed below. • October 27th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the headquarters building, located at 1100 Washington Avenue. • October 27th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the North End Sub-Station (NESS), located at 6840 Indian Creek Drive.
