Resolution 10036 RESOLUTION NO. 10036
WHEREAS, on March 4, 1959 the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach adopted Resolution No. 10027 authorizing
the purchase of Lot 1, Block 5, SUNSET LAKE EXTENSION
SUBDIVISION, from W. G. Newbould for the sum of Ten Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500 .00) for playground purposes, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney prepared a contract
providing for the purchase of said lot, and the same was
executed accordingly, and
WHEREAS the said contract provided for the proration
of taxes, and further provided for the delivery by the seller
of an abstract of title to said property, and
WHEREAS it was the intention of the parties that
there be no proration of taxes, and that the seller should not
be obligated to furnish an abstract of title to said lot,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the contract hereinabove
described be and the same is modified so as to delete therefrom
the provisions requiring proration of taxes and the delivery
by the seller of an abstract of title to said lot.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March, 19-9.
