Resolution 10140 RESOLUTION NO. 101+0
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is considering amending Section 13-B of Ordinance No. 289,
commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami Beach",
by including docks, piers, or wharves as a permissible use in the
"Two-Story Cabana District" and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is further considering amending Section 17 (c) of said
ordinance so as to permit docks, piers or wharves to extend into
the Atlantic Ocean for a distance not exceeding 200 feet, subject,
however, to such appropriate limitations upon the height of such
docks, piers and wharves as shall be found necessary and appropriate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing be and the
same is hereby called to be held on the 5th day of August
1959, at 11 :15 o' clock a. m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Miami Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he
is hereby directed to give fifteen (15) days ' notice of the
time, place and object of said hearing by public notice thereof,
published in the Miami Beach Sun, a newspaper of general
circulation in said City.
