Resolution 10217 RESOLUTION NO. 10217
WHEREAS, under date of November 9th, 1938, the
City of Miami Beach entered into a contract wich the Town
of Surfside, by the terms of which the former agreed to sell
and the latter agreed to purchase a supply of potable water .
The said contract provides for its cancellation upon six
months ' notice by either of the parties thereto, and it
appearing to the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
that it is to the best interest of said City to cancel
said contract and to negotiate a neve one,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to notify the
Town of Surfside that the said agreement is cancelled and
nullified as of June 1st, 1960.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and
he is hereby directed to negotiate the terms of a new contract
for the sale of water to the Town of Surfside on new terms
and to report the result of such negotiation to the City Council
at an early date .
