Resolution 10228 RESOLUTION NO. 10228
WHEREAS, Agreements have been heretofore prepared by the
terms of which various hotel operators of the City of Miami Beach,
in consideration of benefits which will accrue to such operators,
have agreed to pay over to the City an amount equal to five
percent (5%) of the gross room revenue accruing to the operators
from conventions booked and held in said City, and
WHiHEAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of
said agreements and deems it to be to the best interest of the
City that said agreements be entered into,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute in the
name of and on behalf of said City the said agreements which
are as follows :
Agreement dated November 6, 1959 between the City of
Miami Beach and Max Groso for the FONTANA HOTEL, for
the period extending from November 1, 1959 to
August 31, 1962, and
Agreement dated November 6, 1959 between the City of
Miami Beach and Sigmund Weintraub for the NETHERLANDS
HOTEL, for the period extending from December 1, 1959
to August 31, 1962, and
Agreement dated November 14, 1959 between the City of
Miami Beach and Myer Cohen for the PRINCE MOTEL, for
the period extending from December 1, 1959 to
August 31, 1962.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of November, 1959.
